Blues have talks with loan star Roberts to extend stay

CHRIS Davies has hinted Birmingham City are exploring the possibility of making Patrick Roberts' loan deal a permanent one.
The Sunderland loanee produced another eye-catching display to register two assists in Blues' 3-2 victory over Championship leaders Coventry on Sunday.
Roberts now has two goals and four assists from his 22 Championship appearances for Blues and has cemented his place on the right flank.
Blues could turn Roberts' loan into a permanent deal this January with Sunderland understood to be willing sellers.
Roberts' contract at the Stadium of Light expires later this year, but the Black Cats have the option to extend it by a year.
Speaking to BBC Radio WM, Davies admitted Roberts' situation is being discussed.
He said: "There's not many with more quality than him in the Championship, but he puts a shift in.
