Blues fan in Benidorm nightmare after stroke

A DAD-OF-FOUR is trapped in a £600-per-night hospital in Benidorm after hitting his head.
Blues fan Andrew Smith's family has now launched a fundraising appeal to bring him home.
Andrew, from Shirley, needed urgent medical care after falling in the street and suffering a bleed on the brain just hours after arriving at the Spanish seaside resort on Sunday.
Doctors believe the 64-year-old, who is now out of an induced coma and in ICU, had suffered a stroke.
The grandfather-of-12 had flown from Birmingham Airport for a relative’s 40th birthday in Benidorm.
But he did not have travel insurance so his family have launched a crowdfunding plea to help cover his medical bills and repatriate him home.
