LEADERS Sheldon Marlborough Arrows chalked up a vital 6-3 win at Highwood to open up a four-point lead on their second placed hosts after week seven in the latest Premier League games in the Sheldon and District Winter League.

- By ALAN TOWE

However, Highwood do have a game in hand.Third-placed Langley Arrows have only played five games and are a further two points adrift. In their latest fixture they won 7-2 away to Smith-swood Social Club, and a win in their game in hand on Highwood would take them into the number two spot.

In Division One, Banbury Club lost 5-4 at home to fourth-placed Trident Spears and as a result have lost pole position. They drop to second behind new leaders RAFA Arrows, who won their home game against bottom of the division Station Inn, but only by a very close 5-4 margin.

Nevertheless the win gives them a two-point lead on Banbury Club, Sheldon Marlborough Ridge, Trident Spears and Raven.

Ridge won their home tie with Raven 6-3, Raven dropping from third to fifth in the table, while Ridge moved up one place to third. Lyndon Old Boys are just two places off the foot of the table, but they chalked up their second win in seven when they won 5-4 at Langley Flights with their Craig Stansfield recording the one and only maximum in the league this week.

A 7-2 home win over Shirley Misfits enabled Langley Pints to hold on to top spot in Division Two, two points ahead of second-placed Maggies who after their 6-3 win at Dugby have a game in hand on the leaders.

The third and fourth teams played each other with home side, Hollywood Social Club beating CBMC-A 6-3 to swap places in the table, Holl-wood moving up to third and CBMC-A dropping to fourth. Both teams are on ten points but CBMC-A have played one game more than Hollywood.

There are still five teams with a 100% win record after completing the opening five games in the Harborne and District League.
