Wayne Carlisle has been appointed as Bath City's new assistant manager.

- Mark Stillman

The former Bristol Rovers number two has replaced Lee Kendall, who departed for Newport County last month.

Darren Way expressed his delight in Carlisle's arrival at the club.

"I feel very privileged to have such a strong candidate apply for the job," said Way.

"The only level he’s not coached in is the Premier League.

"Wayne is someone I've watched from afar, he’s got great experience in and around this area.

"He's got excellent knowledge of what the game demands.

"Lee was a world class leader, a great support to me and I wish him well.

"I think Wayne will do a fantastic job in terms of supporting me too."
