Tropical storm set to bring more misery this week

Districts in upper Phetchabun province are facing widespread flooding due to heavy and continuous rainfall caused by Tropical Storm Nong Fa, with Lom Sak district recording its highest ever flood level in recent history.
According to data from the water station in tambon Tad Kloi in Lom Kao district, the Pa Sak River rose to a record-breaking 12.6m, triggering flash floods across downtown Lom Sak, an area known for its dense residential zones and key economic activity.
Phetchabun governor Saranyoo Meetongkam has overseen the evacuation of residents, particularly those living near the banks of the Pa Sak River.
