20 Thai crew already rescued near Oman

A Thai-flagged bulk carrier came under attack near the Strait of Hormuz yesterday, prompting urgent efforts by Thai authorities to assist the vessel's 23 crew members amid the Middle East war and growing concerns over global energy supplies.
Rear Admiral Parach Rattanachaipan, spokesman for the Royal Thai Navy (RTN), said the navy's maritime traffic control centre received an initial report about 11am that the bulk carrier Mayuree Naree, a Thai-flagged vessel with a displacement of about 30,000 tonnes, had been struck while sailing in waters near the Strait of Hormuz.
The vessel, owned by Precious Shipping Plc, had departed Khalifa Port in the United Arab Emirates around 3am earlier the same day before the incident occurred.
