The Thai Chamber of Commerce plans to present a white paper on strategies and measures for economic recovery to the prime minister during its annual seminar later this month.

- PHUSADEE ARUNMAS

Poj Aramwattananont, chairman of the chamber, said the “Khon La Khrueng Plus” co-payment scheme has been well received by Thais and is expected to stimulate the economy for the remainder of the year.

He said Thai exports continue to expand based on accelerated shipments. Despite a decrease in Chinese arrivals, other tourists from Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia have increased, said Mr Poj.

The chamber projects Thai GDP growth of 2.5% this year, with Phase 2 of the co-payment scheme propelling economic momentum.
