Talks held to expand trade with UK

Commerce Minister Jatuporn Buruspat has met the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT) to discuss ways to expand trade and investment opportunities, with both sides agreeing to press ahead with negotiations for aThailand-United Kingdom free trade agreement (FTA).
The meeting, held on Friday at the Commerce Ministry, was attended by the BCCT chairman and 11 member companies.
They sought updates on Thailand’s FTA talks with the European Union (EU), with the prospects of launching similar negotiations with the UK, as well as the outcome of tariff discussions with the United States, all critical issues for BCCT members operating their businesses in Thailand.
