Stand-outs at this year’s CES

Last time, I mentioned the latest CES show in Las Vegas.

Now that it’s over, I'll cover a few of the more interesting items. I've already mentioned the Samsung tri-fold was rated the best phone.The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon was rated the best laptop and the I'm not sure who can afford this, let alone fit on a desk, but the Dell UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Monitor (U5226KW) with a large 52-inch 6K ultrawide display was rated the best monitor. The best smartphone was the Clicks Communicator bringing back the Blackberry feel with a full keyboard anda 4-inch AMOLED display. While nota top-end item, it is focused on messaging, email and quick responses so it might make an ideal second phone or one for seniors.
