Bangkok Post
|April 28, 2025
Operations are still underway to locate the bodies of over 30 people believed to be buried beneath the rubble of the collapsed State Audit Office (SAO) building.
Today marks one month since the building was brought down by an earthquake.
Search and rescue officials are expected to clear the debris on ground level and reach the underground level by the end of today, says Suriyachai Rawiwan, director of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA)'s Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office.
As of yesterday, the rubble stood at 2.57 metres above ground level.
Cavities have been found in areas between the parking building and the collapsed SAO building, Mr Suriyachai said.
