Regulator okays more frequencies for wireless mikes

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has approved the use of additional frequencies for wireless microphones to support Thailand's effort to become a global conference and event hub.
AM Thanapant Raicharoen, the commissioner responsible for broadcasting and chairman of the subcommittee on frequency and technical standards, said a recent commission board meeting approved three drafts of NBTC announcements related to the use of frequencies and technical standards for wireless microphones.
One draft covers technical standards for telecom and wireless microphone equipment, while a second addresses criteria for the use of frequency and radio communication equipment allowed for general use.
