PM heads to Chiang Mai for Songkran season

»Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra will inspect Songkran festivities in Chiang Mai to ensure safety for revellers and promote culture and tourism.
Government spokesman Jirayu Houngsub said Ms Paetongtarn was set to visit Chiang Mai today to check the coordination among state agencies including Provincial Police Region 5, administrative officials, military and medical teams.
She will preside over the opening of the Amazing Songkran Chiangmai x Boryeong Mud Festival 2025, a cultural collaboration between Thailand and South Korea, at Tha Phae Gate.
