Panel nominates Sutham, Sarawut for vacant seats

The committee on the selection of Constitutional Court judges has chosen two nominees to fill the vacant seats left by court president Nakharin Mektrairat and charter court judge Punya Udchachon, both of whom recently completed their seven-year terms.
The committee, chaired by Supreme Court President Chanakarn Theeravechpolkul, yesterday announced the selection of Pol Capt Sutham Cheurprakobkit, 62, a public administration professor at Mahidol University, and Sarawut Songsivilai, 60, former director-general of the Department of Rail Transport and the Department of Highways. The nominations were made after a second round of selection, in which seven applicants competed for the two position
