No more minimum wage boosts this year: minister

The Labour Ministry has confirmed there will be no further hikes to the minimum wage this year, pointing to the next increase in 2026.
Minister Pongkawin Jungrungreangkit said yesterday the next round of hikes to 400 baht per day will not take place until next year, as the limit has already been raised twice this year.
Speaking after a meeting of the tripartite wage committee to consider extending the 400-baht minimum wage to more areas, Mr Pongkawin said the most recent adjustment only took effect on July 1.
The minister said the minimum wage is usually only adjusted once a year.
