'MasterChef' project aims to elevate Thai farm products

The Commerce Ministry has launched the DIT x MasterChef project, aimed at elevating Thai agricultural products into premium culinary menus to be served on flights and in the airport lounges of Thai Airways, Thai AirAsia and Bangkok Airways, promoting soft power and increasing income for Thai farmers.
According to caretaker commerce minister Suphajee Suthumpun, the project was developed to connect Thai agricultural products to the global market. On MasterChef Thailand Season 7, Thai crops are transformed into culinary creations that reflect their quality, uniqueness and identity.
Under this initiative, the three finalists on the show create special menus to be served both onboard aircraft and in the lounges of the three airlines, catering to passengers in first class and business class lounges.
The marketing initiative supports the distribution and value enhancement of Thai agricultural products.
