Angels lose but progress to last 16

Bangkok United lost to Persib Bandung 1-0 in the AFC Champions League Two at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium on Wednesday but still qualified for the knockout stage as Group G runners-up.

Ramon Tanque's first-half stoppage-time strike helped Persib clinch the top spot with 13 points, while the Angels were second on 10 as both teams advanced to the last 16 of the tournament.
The match was only three minutes in when Persib were awarded a penalty after Bangkok United's Philipe Maia was deemed to have pulled down Uilliam Barros Pereira. Angels keeper Patiwat Khammai, however, judged correctly and pushed the Brazilian striker's tame spot-kick onto the right post.
