Andaman petroleum bids to start soon

Energy authorities are planning to call for bids for petroleum exploration and production in the Andaman Sea during the new government's tenure to increase Thai extraction levels.
They are working on the details of the Round 26 auction, preparing to announce an application date for prospective bidders, said an official at the Department of Mineral Fuels who requested anonymity.
"The department is expected to announce the winners and grant licences for petroleum E&P [exploration and production] while new Energy Minister Auttapol Rerkpiboon is in office," said the official.
