District council says planned increases will help balance its budget

Parking and more charges could rise across region

It may soon cost you more to park at council-run car parks like Ashbourne's Coach and Car Park in Clifton Road

RESIDENTS across the Derbyshire Dales could soon be paying more for everyday council services under a package of proposed fee increases.

Derbyshire Dales District Council is set to consider changes to fees and charges for 2026/27 at its Governance and Resources Committee meeting.

The proposals would see most charges rise broadly in line with inflation to reflect higher running and staffing costs.
