Work starts on 127 new homes

One of North Lanarkshire Council's largest new housing developments is now on site in Coatbridge - and is set to bring 127 new homes to the area.
Construction is underway on the £26.8 million project, which will be delivered by CCG Scotland, on the vacant ground at the former Columba High School in Whifflet.
This forms part of the local authority's new supply programme to deliver 6000 new homes by 2035.
The range of homes includes flats, semi-detached properties and bungalows, with 22 of these being wheelchair suitable, and a further 57 amenity houses meaning they can adapt over time to meet tenants’ needs.
