Rovers' survival is focus this term

|June 25, 2025
Albion Rovers boss Sandy Clark revealed it has proved a frustrating summer on the recruitment front but admits the club's survival is more important than having a strong squad.
With the Cliftonhill side enforcing financial restrictions this summer amid strict budget cuts, Clark has only been able to keep three members of last season's squad on the books and revealed a host of players have been picked up by rivals able to offer a better financial package.
Clark and his assistant George Paterson have taken a pay cut this term to stay in charge and they have managed to encourage club captain Alan Reid, midfielder Barry Duncan and forward Nathan Brown to stick around.
Two new signings have arrived in the form of forward Sonny Aluko and defender Conor Duffy and Clark is casting his eye over 15 trialists in training.
It has been a frustrating few weeks but Clark says they need to think about the bigger picture.
