Man jailed for break in and carrying blades

A persistent offender who admitted breaking into a flat and carrying blades has been jailed for 20 months.

Sean Fagan and an accomplice were caught after forcing entry to a property in Shanks Street, Airdrie, in the middle of the day.
Airdrie Sheriff Court heard the householder returned home on January 14 and noticed a door panel had been damaged.
Police were alerted and when officers turned up they saw Fagan, 36, crawling through the panel.
He had stolen a bottle of aftershave and this was found in his jacket pocket.
