Diamonds will support AAP'S festive appeal

Airdrieonians FC are “proud” to back Airdrie Action Partnership (AAP) as the organisation launch their festive toy appeal with the aim of “making sure every child in the local area gets a Christmas present”.

The AAP, the winners of the North Lanarkshire 2023 Provost Award for Excellence, is made up of community groups, third sector organisations, charities and council services.

The group engages through monthly meetings with the intention of generating projects that work to address the priorities identified by the wider community.

North Lanarkshire Council carried out a robust consultation exercise and it was highlighted that the three main priorities endorsed for this within Airdrie are: poverty; mental health and emotional wellbeing; and digital Inclusion.
