Court reinstates judicial officer dismissed for alleged misconduct, corruption
A bench of the Gujarat High Court reinstated a judicial officer who was dismissed in 2011 following allegations of misconduct, corruption and dereliction of duty.
The dismissal, initiated by the state government on the recommendation of the HC's administrative wing, stemmed from claims that the officer had allegedly pressured a party to release seized oil tankers to owners who were accused of theft of high-speed diesel.
