FRC tightens fee approval rules for pre-schools

Pre-schools operating on same campus as primary schools must now get their fee structures approved by the FRC committee

The Fee Regulatory Committee (FRC) of the Ahmedabad Zone has stepped up its oversight of preschools.

Those operating on the same campus as primary schools (standards 1 to 8) must now secure fee approval from the committee. For standalone preschools elsewhere, the government will determine appropriate fees.

This directive emerged during Saturday's meeting with District Education Officers (DEO) and District Primary Education Officers (DPEO) from 10 districts under FRC jurisdiction. The districts also put forward their suggestions during the session.
