Hatkeshwar Flyover Demolition
-
The long-running Hatkeshwar flyover saga has entered a decisive phase, with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) filing a hard-hitting affidavit before the Commercial Court. The civic body has asserted that pulling down the structure is not a matter of choice but an unavoidable step to safeguard lives.
Countering claims by Ajay Engi-Infrastructure Pvt Ltd—the contractor that built the bridge—AMC told the court that the flyover was constructed using substandard raw materials and now poses a grave risk to thousands of commuters who cross it daily.
