RESIDENTS have welcomed the end of "nightmare roadworks" on a road in Clayton-le-Moors described as "the most polluted in Lancashire
Temporary traffic lights went up in Blackburn Road, close to the crossroads junction by the Hare & Hounds pub in Whalley Road, on Monday this week (January 19).
Motorists and local residents were then hit by a second set of lights at Hyndburn Bridge which created lengthy tailbacks and heavy congestion.
