Incident leads to M65 delays
Accrington Observer
|May 16, 2025
EMERGENCY services responded to a 'concern for welfare' incident on the M65 which left motorists facing hours of delays.
The motorway was closed in both directions between J7 for Accrington and J8 for Huncoat shortly before 9pm on Tuesday.
Drivers stuck in the motorway closure posted pictures on social media with one at 11pm saying: "M65 just after junction 7 heading towards Burnley closed both ways."
