IN the JW Lees Senior Division 2, Accrington’s tough start to the season continued with a three-wicket defeat at home against Greenmount.
Accrington won the toss and batted first, making 221-9 from their 50 overs. J Snyman 43, J Clarke 53 and A Hasham 46 all contributed to a decent tally, M Khan taking 5-50 for the visitors.
After finding themselves 31-3, Greenmount settled with T Townsend hitting 83 and C Mapstone firing an unbeaten 47 as victory was secured in the 46th over with seven wickets down.
