Noot: Blackheath aiming for top six
The Rugby Paper
|June 25, 2023
ALEX Noot has stressed that his new Blackheath side are not there to merely make up the numbers next season in National 1 and are aiming to compete at the top of the table.
Noot, 22, has joined the National Two East champions from Old Albanians and after scoring 30 tries in 54 games for his former club, the potent versatile back is excited to make his mark at a higher level.
He said: “I’m buzzing to be joining Blackheath. They’ve got such good facilities and great players.
“I was having a chat to the head coach James Shanahan a few weeks ago and the move just made sense with the attractive rugby they play and how I can fit into that system by playing my best rugby one league higher as I can test myself and see how I get on.
