Biljon: Standards going through roof

JERSEY Reds director of rugby Harvey Biljon believes the standard in the Championship is through the roof and expects it to be competitive across the board next season
Biljon guided Jersey to their first ever Championship title, fending off previous winners Ealing Trailfinders by two points but the South African has been impressed by teams signings across the board in the offseason and firmly believes any team can beat anyone on their day.
He said: “Doncaster have had a lot of change. From the outside looking in there’s a clear route they’ve travelled down as they’ve recruited some very big men, so there’s definitely going to be some size at Doncaster.
“If you look across the league, all the signings are going that way. I think it’s becoming a strong league with some real good footballers being picked up across the division. It’s going to be another tough season with lots of very good rugby being played.
“It’s so competitive and I’m not being dramatic when I say any team can beat anyone, I honestly believe that.”
