H.E. Mr. Claudio Ansorena Montero: I arrived in India in mid-August 2019 to begin my tenure as Costa Rican Ambassador to India. Since then, I have focused much of my work on promoting trade and investment opportunities between Costa Rica and India, where there is undoubtedly untapped potential and many possibilities for growth.
Working in India has been a very positive experience. In addition to its geographical extension, India is a country with great cultural richness and diversity, which makes it not only an interesting destination and a great learning environment, but also a country with enormous possibilities for cooperation in various segments. India and Costa Rica, in spite of being geographically distant, are countries that share core values such as democracy, peace, environmental protection and family unity.
