|April 2023
What are your riding goals for 2023? Chances are, like most of us here at mbr, it's to ride more. But if you're also looking for ways to make your riding more varied this year, we have some suggestions.

We've put together a list of 32 things to do before the year is out that will make every ride different, and give you the motivation to explore new places with new people, getting fitter more quickly and pushing your skills to the next level - all while having fun on your bike.
01 FIX A TRAIL
Time and tyres mean that all trails need a bit of love to keep them running well. Make it a resolution to dedicate five minutes of every ride to keeping your trails in order. You don’t have to carry a mattock around with you either kicking out clogged-up drainage, moving fallen branches and pruning back some handlebar-height brambles all help make a trail more fun to ride, with little effort.
02 RIDE 30 DAYS IN A ROW
A solid month of riding your bike might sound intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be, and the benefits are huge you'll be stronger, more in tune with your bike and have created the habit for going for a ride. Start your year with a big effort like this and the rest of your riding will just fall into place. The key is to avoid boredom and fatigue. Keep your riding varied, mix up big XC days with short sessions in the woods, laps of the local with new trails further afield. Do it right and 30 days will soon become 60...

100% GLENDALE GLASSES
When it comes to eyewear, having a large lens not only offers a lot more protection from trail splatter, it puts the frames further out from your field of view, allowing you to focus on the terrain in front of you. The Glendale is absolutely vast, and actually has a lens size akin to a full downhill goggle, so you literally can’t see the top or sides of the frame.

DMR STAGE 2 MTB RAIL SADDLE
DMR's new Stage 2 MTB Rail is one of those new/old products. The shape and construction are identical to the existing Oi Oi saddle, but the company has wrapped it in a new skin and added some harder-wearing reinforcement to the edges. It's also toned down the lairy graphics; this saddle only comes in plain black.
