If you know, you know, and well, No Entry is the best-known "off-limits" cocktail bar in The Fort. apl.de.ap and his NE kapamilya grant Tatler access and invite you to trespass into their underground world
Coconut food forests.
Modern Day Love Songs. No Entry. What does this incongruous miscellany of words have in common? Why, the Grammy-winning Pea (albeit Black Eyed), habitual founder, multipreneur, philanthropist and PI-loving apl. de.ap, of course. Not to mention that each one symbolises being homegrown on Philippine soil (which he holds in high regard, by the way—the soil, that is).
Born Allan Pineda Lindo into a family of farmers in Angeles City, Pampanga, Apl, which business associates and artists refer to him as, has been more than eager this past year to buttress his home roots and dip his fingers into as many Philippine honey pots as possible. “As soon as I’m off BEP duties”, he shares, “I'm back here.” The “here” he refers to is obviously his beloved Philippines, where he was adopted by an American family, the Hudgens, at 14.
From launching the “100 Million Coconut Trees for the Climate” project—which not only aims to increase national food security through planting that number of the superfood and eventual biochar (a geek-out agriculturist’s nod to his precious soil) but also employs blockchain technology that enables farmers to track carbon credit—to sequentially dropping hot tracks from his brand spanking new OPM/Afro beat-inspired solo album, Modern Day Love Songs, featuring a slew of Filipino artists like J.Rey Soul (whom he discovered on The Voice of the Philippines), Illest Morena and many more...Apl’s certainly stacked on the reasons to return home—often.
