It's the show that everyone's talking about. Netflix's Adolescence has smashed records everywhere, gaining over 114 million views in just a few weeks and is set to be one of the streaming giant's most successful shows of all time.

However, it's also one that's resonated deeply with parents and educators, striking up conversations about online bullying, toxic masculinity and the impact of social media.

The drama series, which is set in England, centres on Jamie Miller a 13-year-old boy accused of murdering a female classmate after being radicalised online.

The show has had such an impact that British Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, has supported a move to screen the show for free in high schools across the United Kingdom. So, is there an appetite for that to happen here too? While some say screening the show in the classroom could help generate positive discussions among teens, a range of experts suggest this could do more harm than good.

Headmaster of Hale School in Perth, WA, Dean Dell'Oro, is firmly against the idea.
