TURTLES IN JANUARY

Do you dream of seeing the unforgettable pilgrimage as thousands of baby turtles hatch and dig their way to the sand's surface? While turtle season officially kicks off in November, January to March is when the magic happens – babies scurrying across the sand to the deep blue ocean. Turtle hatchings can be seen all along the state's coast, including Mon Repos, near Bundaberg, and Heron Island.
