From a singing Sapphire to an unwed mother in ‘Swinging Sixties’ Kings Cross, Miranda Tapsell has played a range of characters throughout her career. But while the roles might seem different from each other on paper, the Logie-winning actress has been making a conscious effort to ensure there is a clear through line that connects all of her projects when possible – and it’s all in tribute to her family.

Miranda, a proud Larrakia and Tiwi woman shares daughter Grace, three, and one-month-old son Vincent with her non-Indigenous husband of seven years, James Colley. She herself has a white father and a First Nations mother.
