Initially I thought I had ‘won’ another iPhone, but surprisingly it wasn't one of those email scams, it was a job offer... in Cape Town. For context, I spent my whole life in Pretoria (queue the barcardi) however, now I was suddenly set to relocate to the Mother City - based on a virtual interview via Teams and my now manager who, by all accounts, took a leap of faith the size of Table Mountain. Naturally, I accepted the offer.
