Honoring a Visionary Leader

The 69th birth anniversary of Shri Manohar Parrikar was marked by a celebratory event at the Manohar Parrikar Smruti Sthal in Miramar, where Goa's current Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant, along with other prominent ministers, paid floral tributes to Parrikar's Samadhi and garlanded his statue. A photo exhibition, chronicling Parrikar's life and work through the lens of Goa's renowned photojournalists, was also inaugurated. The exhibition served as a tribute to the indelible impact he left on the state and the country.

Dr. Sawant, in his address, extolled Parrikar as a visionary leader who dreamed of transforming Goa into a model state. He highlighted Parrikar's relentless commitment to Goa's welfare, and the continued relevance of his developmental initiatives, which have shaped the state's progress. Students from Hedgewar High School performed a street play to recall the leader's remarkable journey and contributions, reinforcing his legacy among the younger generation.
