Dreamy and soulful lyricist Snoh Aalegra is not new to the music scene but has recently made sound waves as she steps into a leading role as R&B's certified lover girl.

With more than a decade of industry experience, her music is a true testament to her growth as an artist and a woman. Snoh's discography dates back to 2014, and her most recent album titled Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies was released in 2021. She also headlined at Rocking the Daisies in 2024, showcasing her heartfelt music in a euphoric performance on stage. Her songwriting doesn't shy away from feelings as she pours her heart into the lyrics, telling stories of her relationships.

Growing pains

Born in Iran, Snoh grew up in a small town in Sweden. She often felt like an outsider, describing herself as an “emo” child, meaning that she felt things deeply and didn't really understand why. Being Persian in a Swedish environment, Snoh found herself being bullied - so she leaned on music as a way to escape it. Listening to legendary musicians became a way for her to deal with her feelings. Snoh's connection to music became so strong that, at the age of seven, she knew music was her purpose. In this way, her childhood paved the way for her career. Snoh wanted to evoke in others the same feelings she felt when listening to her favourite artists.
