THE SUMMIT OF PLEASURE
August Man SG
|Issue 220 (December 2025)
Part Roman reverie, part Singaporean dreamscape, Baia is a rooftop sanctuary shaped by the charm and craft of bar maestro Andrea Strada.
HIGH ABOVE THE ESPLANADE'S sweep of lights, where the skyline turns from spectacle to atmosphere, Baia rises like a crown set perfectly between sea breeze and city pulse.
It isn't just another rooftop destination; it's a panoramic sensory treat - part Italian coastline reverie, part Singaporean nighttime theatre. All wrapped in the soft cinematic view. Here, the Marina Bay skyline isn’t a backdrop but a partner, glowing in step with the music, the cocktails, and the exquisite unfurling of a night worth remembering.
And at the heart of it is Andrea Strada, Baia’s assistant bar manager, whose journey from the vineyards of Trentino to the rooftops of Singapore reads like a destiny written in bottles and breeze. Born into a culture of craft and raised on the rituals of hospitality, Andrea carries an instinct for connection that elevates Baia beyond aesthetics. He doesn't just make drinks. He shapes experiences, calibrating mood and energy with the same finesse he brings to the bar. Together, Baia and Strada offer something rare: a night that doesn't ask for attention but earns it.
Hello, Strada. Tell us your origin story.
I came from Trentino, in Italy, which is famous in Europe for wine and spirits production. Since I was a child, I was around bottles, and people drinking and making merry. I've always been curious not so much about the taste, but about what was inside them.
