Lainey Wilson may be busy, but she’s keeping her people close
Lainey and Sid at her home outside Nashville
I WAS STANDING in Lainey Wilson’s kitchen when she came down the hallway in one of her trademark cowboy hats, and the first thing she said was, “Can I get y’all a water or anything?” About a dozen people had just invaded her house for a photo shoot, and we were moving furniture, setting up studio lights, and taking over her living room. There were cars, vans, and pickup trucks crowding the driveway. She’d just gotten home from a tour the day before, and her French bulldog, Hippie Mae, was barking with displeasure in a back bedroom. But Lainey acted as if we were friends coming over for a football game. She gave me a firm handshake and a big smile and said, “So nice to meet you, Sid. Where do you need me to be?”
