Atelier Varun Goyal brings Lucknow’'s rich history to life with Philtre and Co. a café designed for lounging, dining, and moments of quiet contemplation

Basking under the dappled shade of a majestic neem tree, Philtre and Co. café offers a retreat where sunlight gently filters through, weaving warmth into every corner. Located within the historic Newal Kishore Press site in Hazratganj, Lucknow, the café carries a cultural legacy that brings together history, nature, and tranquillity in its shared courtyard. Once Asia's largest privately owned printing press, a section of this historic site has been thoughtfully reimagined by Varun Goyal of Atelier Varun Goyal. The result is Philtre and Co., with an 800 sq ft shaded courtyard that serves as a living canvas of architectural expression, showcasing Indo-Saracenic, Gothic Roman, and British influences.
