When you’re in this apartment, it feels like you’re in a cosy cottage. It has such a lovely feeling,” exclaims interior designer Elizabeth Hay of her most recent project, a duplex in a modern apartment block in Singapore. Elizabeth has worked her magic to transform what was once a soulless new-build into a home, having that showcases her signature style of layers, patterns and colour.

Having worked with the clients previously on an apartment in the same block, Elizabeth was naturally the first to call when they bought a larger property. “The female client is a big supporter of my work and has always loved the style that I bring. She wanted the apartment to feel very cosy with lots of layers and colour, but practical too as they have a young child.”
