Named after the silent, yet powerful pachyderm, Gayathri Padmam H started Aanai in 2018 as an indigenous furniture studio. Over the years, the designer discovered her love and passion for well-designed homes and the shift to interior design seemed inevitable. Today, Gayathri’s Aanai Design Studio has grown into a multidisciplinary design studio in the residential space that focuse on architecture, interior design and furniture. At the heart of everything this rooted design atelier does, sustainability remains in clear focus. Either via techniques that have indigenous roots or then, sourcing and design-led decisions that have little carbon footprint.
