MAXIMALIST MAKEOVER
The traditional 'all white' bathroom is getting a makeover. Increasingly it is seen as a space to be designed with as much impact and personality as any other room in the house, as interior designer Anouska Lancaster of Noushka Design explains. Tadore mixing patterns and textures,' she says. This playful layering adds a multidimensional feel to the room, creating a space that's uplifting and joyful.' It might be that an en suite echoes the colour and wallpaper scheme of the adjoining bedroom or that a bathroom celebrates the beauty of immersive pattern in its own right.
'A house can only become a home when it is tailored to your personal style and needs,' adds Anouska.
SUBTLE ELEGANCE
A grey and white scheme adds restrained elegance to this bathroom, elevated by brushed brass taps chosen to add warmth to the overall effect. Although monotonal, the repeat graphic pattern of the tile and the depth of colour on the painted cabinetry bring impact to the space.
