Charlotte Woodwards used swathes of colour to turn a dark and dated house into a bright family abode packed with personality

When Charlotte and Woody moved to a more family-friendly area of London, they found a period property that hadn't been touched for 35 years. They have since transformed the dark and dated house with an extension and cheerful pops of colour.

WHY DID YOU MOVE HERE?

We moved to east London about five years ago after living in North London. Although it was a really sweet house in a buzzy area, we had some friends who had moved here and it was lovely when we visited — there are lots of green spaces, nice schools and yet it’s still on the Central line.
