10 things you didn't know about CAMILLA

1 She's related to Madonna!

As well as now having actual royals for family, Camilla is a distant relative of showbiz queens Madonna and Celine Dion. The three women are all descendants of 17th-century French Canadians Madeleine Ernard and Zacharie Cloutier, who were then part of high society Canada. This connection technically makes Camilla 10th cousins with the pop divas.

2 She has a fear of flying

Despite her job involving almost constant globe-trotting, Her Majesty is not a lover of air travel. Previously, a spokesperson for Clarence House revealed, ‘The [then] duchess does not like flying but I think she sometimes has to embrace that fear and get on with it.’

3 She prefers gardening to glitz

While many of us would dream of attending fancy royal events, greenfingered Camilla would choose weeding over well-heeled gatherings. In a 2018 visit to the Garden Museum in London, she admitted, ‘I’d be out in my garden all day, every day if I were allowed. I love to get my hands dirty.’
