Bulk drugs, intermediates exports grew 10% in July

EXPORTS of bulk drugs and intermediates grew almost 10 per cent in the month of July this year, while the exports growth was almost 6.6% for the first four months of the current fiscal year.

Exports during the month of July, 2025, stood at $414.3 million, as compared to $376.75 million in the same month of previous year. The exports in July, 2024 was around 8% decline from $410.84 million in the same month in 2023, according to data from the minis- try of commerce and industry.

In Rupee terms, the exports were around 13.3% higher in July, 2025 at Rs. 3,567.9 crore as compared to Rs. 3,149.4 crore in the same month of previous year. The export in July, 2024 was a 6.70% decline compared to Rs. 3,375.13 crore in July, 2023.

Quantity of exports grew around 29% in July, 2025, at 50,604.8 MT of bulk drugs and intermediates, as compared to 39,096 MT in the same month last year.

During the four months ended July 31, 2025, the exports grew 6.62% to $1.61 billion, as com- pared to $1.51 billion in the same period of previous fiscal year. The exports during April to July, 2024 was 1.95% decline compared to $1.54 billion during the same pe- riod of April to July, 2023.
