GARDEN RESCUE - A DIARY
Kitchen Garden
|June 2025
The days from April to June have been busy ones for Chris and Karen Cronin, who share the diary of the progress in their loving restoration of Croome Court Walled Gardens in Worcestershire
As the spring moves into summer the Walled Gardens at Croome Court have burst into life with all the vigour and colour we could have hoped for after a long and busy winter. Now reopened for the season, the gardens are alive once more, not just with planting and pruning but with the sounds of visitors, birdsong and the ever-present buzz of bees happily making the most of our early blooms.
Since our last update in April so much has progressed that it’s hard to know where to begin. Melanie, our head gardener, and our dedicated National Trust volunteers have been working flat out to get the gardens in shape and their efforts are bearing fruit — quite literally in some cases!
