A PARTICULARLY GOLDEN OLDIE

This kit is certainly an oldie, and I've recently found that it's considerably more golden than it has been given credit for, provided that you're prepared to do some work on it. It is in fact almost perfect as regards outline accuracy, except for a touch of excess chord out towards the wingtips.

This adventure really began with the Eduard re-issue of Arma's superb Hurri, and its etched bits. In reviewing this combination, it was (and remains) my intention to start with something like 'I'll use the etch (because this is a review) but only if it's better than the existing moulded plastic. Well, the first bit I looked at was the wheel well roof, and it wasn't.
